May you never have to visit this place but should your pet fall ill, or something happens to them, we feel totally blessed SVRC was there for us. Our beautiful Ziggy (7-1/2yo) fell ill one morning, to the degree we knew something was seriously wrong. We raced to SVRC, having never been there before. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly greeted and well taken care of. The vet tech that received us, the doc we saw, were all clearly compassionate and helped us work through what was happening and the decisions that had to be made. Turns out Ziggy had a Hemangiosarcoma tumor on his heart and within a few hours he was gone. We are of course broken hearted but grateful for the staff and facility of SVRC. May you never have to go, but if you do, you’ll be in good hands.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Our hearts are shattered and we feel 100% betrayed. We took our three year old bloodhound there two times in one week saying something is not right. The first time she was experiencing signs of bloat, and they induced vomiting. Great, that’s what I expect. BUT then they sent her home and just told us to bring her back if she doesn’t get better… uhhhh what? How about you do your professional job of monitoring her and making sure she gets to at least 80% better before sending her home. Anyways, she came home with antibiotics that were only to help with nausea and said because of the medicine they gave her, she could experience that symptom. Our issue is, she was NEVER nauseous - only lethargic, no appetite, no energy, salivating excessively, and shaking. So we go back on Thursday because she’s obviously continuing to get worse, and they say there’s just not a lot we can do besides give her an ultrasound and keep her hooked up to fluids overnight. Okay, we do that. In that time, we say absolutely no chicken if she does decide to eat. When we pick her up Friday, they told us she ate (which I think is 100% a lie because she wouldn’t even sniff a dog treat) and that she “jumped up with excitement when we said it’s time to go home” (which we ALSO think is a lie because the moment they brought her out, I knew she wasn’t right still. I have video proof). They said she should continue to improve and brushed off my concerns of her not being okay. I sat in the parking lot for about a half hour talking to my husband and saying, “They’re just going to tell me to give her time like they JUST told me.”. I have pictures of her unable to keep her head up with the excessively salivating the moment she got into my car. I wish I had a video of the shaking. Anyways, we force feed her Saturday with the Sam prescription from Monday because they didn’t prescribe anything new but told us to continue the prescription. Sunday, we woke up very worried and panicked. She wouldn’t even let us force feed her, then we let her outside to go potty, and she just laid by the water bowl. Her tongue was out of her mouth this time - so we could see her strength was completely gone. My husband lifted her into the car, and she took her last breath when we turned onto the road the vet was on. Upon arrival, a vet assistant grabbed our dog and rushed her for CPR (as of that would even help at this point), and told us there’s no saving her. I said, “There was saving her at the other two visits when we told her she wasn’t right!” I completely lost it. I’ve NEVER yelled at someone in my entire life. This was my soul dog - never did a wrong thing to anyone or anything. Our dog is dead because of their lack of care and attention. Please, take my advice. If you are going to go here - which I get it, they’re the only 24 hour vet in the area, do what you need to do to save your pet - be the VOICE for your animal. Demand more to be done or looked at. I hope and pray nobody ever finds themselves in our position, and I hate that we had to be their “lesson learned”. They told us that we did all we could do, but why didn’t they as the veterinary professionals do all THEY could do!? You know your animal best - please be their voice. There is no making this right. I don’t want another dog. I want my Purdy, and there’s just no bringing her back. Fly high, floppy girl.

Tucker had surgery on both his back legs. He’s never been away from home and had to stay the night. I have to to say what a AMAZING team! They treated my boy like he was one of theirs. Plus not only me my husband has called with so many questions and they are so patient with this dog mom.

We have had nothing but amazing experiences at summit vet! Dr Kice and his team performed a very difficult eye mass removal on my pug baby and did an amazing job reconstructing his eye lid. They were so helpful in explaining the process and recovery. Shay was my dog’s anesthesiologist and she was so calming and personable which made the entire process sooo easy. Two years ago, we lost our puppy to PDE and summit vet fought so hard to save his life. We knew as soon as we needed to get my dogs eye mass removal that summit was the only place we would go. Thank you so much to the team at summit vet for all that you do for everyone and their pets. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!

I'm so thankful for this place, exceptional service from the medical team. Dr Schwartz took the time to discuss options, answer questions and is clearly a very professional neurologist. He is an outstanding neurologist with integrity, high standards and compassionate. While Bella, our mini doxie (who we love like our own child), was staying for two nights after surgery, the team called each day to give us updates. On top of that, Kaitlyn, med tech sent me several pictures of Bella. What a truly wonderful thing to do as I didn't expect it! Kaitlyn and Hanna were amazing. I recommend this place if your dog needs urgent care. I can't say enough how much my heart has been touched by the care and compassion they showed. I highly recommend this facility.

I am super appreciative of this place I was in a panic my baby got into something her snout swelled up gave Benadryl and the next morning it was hives all over her body. I called around frantically trying to find somewhere to go this was the 5th place I called and the ONLY place that asked if her breathing was ok everyone else just told me they were at capacity and was told to call someone else. So thank you so much for taking care of my baby!

Today is my Birthday and I just received the best gift I could ever ask for: my best friend, Stella, is home with me recovering. Less than 48 hours ago I had a panic attack and was sobbing uncontrollably thinking that she was dying. She couldn't urinate and began vomitting. We checked two local Animal ER's and they were at-capacity. Summit was able to see her, so we headed there immediately in the middle of the night. I was able to complete the intake online and en route. Upon arriving, they buzzed us into the spacious and beautiful lobby, which on it's own brought me some comfort. Handing my little girl over to the nurse after talking quickly with the staff on-site, I immediately felt relief that she was in the best place she could be to get help. The staff was helpful, welcoming and caring. The vet that night quickly checked her condition and met with us to advise surgery was needed to clear the obstruction of stones in her bladder. She said we brought her in earlier than most, which made me feel SO MUCH BETTER. She was friendly, knowledgable and informative. They worked with my pet insurance company (Trupanion) and I paid my deductible later that day. Stella got her surgery a few hours later and was kept for observation. I never thought in a million years that my 4 year old dog would need surgery already, but I don't want my dog going anywhere else in an emergency and there are no words that will properly convey my gratitude to every employee at Summit Veterinary Referral Center. They called me with updates and encouraged me to call if I had questions/concerns or if I simply couldn't stop thinking about her. They really helped me feel peace and faith the entire time I was without my dog. They made sure I understood what her meds do and how/when to give them when we left today. Now she is resting with me and she is ALIVE. Thank you so so so much Summit. 🥹🥲
